J.Vigas Cork has been producing high quality cork stoppers from more than 125 years. The ancestors started in Palafrugell (100 km from Barcelona) with a branch in Champagne, France. Their know-how has been passed on from one generation to the next.
The human team’s “savoir-faire” acquired from the oldest generations, allows the company to exercise excellent control over the whole production process, starting with selecting the “Quercus Suber L.” from the Spanish Cork forest, to running the quality controls in the laboratory before the product release.
The 5th generation is continually opening up new markets with both old and new world wine producers. Today the main markets for J.Vigas are: France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, USA and Argentina.
The knowledge acquired thorough the past generations, plus the continuous innovation by the firm’s Technical Department, rank J.Vigas as one of the highest quality producers on both the national and international market.
